Festival Cancelled for 2021
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the organisers of TYRE Festival have decided that the 2021 Festival will not go ahead, and will instead focus on an improved event in 2022.
Lead Organiser Charlie Crawshaw of the TR Youth says: “Cancelling the Festival hasn’t been an easy decision to make, however the pandemic presents great difficulties when trying to plan an event. We’d like to thank our clubs, sponsors and ticket holders for their support over the past two years. We endeavour not to be beaten by Covid and will be back in 2022, bigger and better than before.”
Lead Organiser Liam Murphy from the MMOCYM says: “Obviously we’re disappointed, but we believe that cancelling the event is the safest, most responsible thing to do for 2021. We would rather plan a full weekend of entertainments and have a top-quality event, than risk watering down the festival and worrying about cancellation in the event of a future wave of infections.”
Ticket holders will be contacted in due course and given a full refund, and will be entitled to advance tickets ahead of the 2022 festival.
